Wren started out a graphic and fine artist. After serving for four years in the U.S. Air Force, she became a professional journalist, graphic designer, and photographer. Diagnosed with RA at 31, Wren eventually created RheumaBlog and became a patient advocate. She creates works of art with watercolors, colored pencils, and ink; reads voraciously; writes; and goes out of her way to look for the gifts life offers each and every day.
