    1. Hi There;
      Having RA for many years, I was for a while with one Dr that led research studies in Dallas. I was in several studies, though I don't know what the meds were or even if i got the med or a placebo. Studies are helpful for all of us of course in coming up with new treatments. However, I also found out that I was allergic to meds with Sulphur in them while on a study so that was good. You also usually get a check for being in a study. One study I was on was with a specific diet for three days while in the facility for the study. We could only eat from Panera bread restaurant for some reason, breakfast lunch and dinner. I could not stand the flavor or taste of their food and did not eat the three days, except for peanut butter and cracker snack at night. Lol, as soon as they let us go, I went to a steakhouse... Overall though the studies were no problem.

      1. How interesting, . I wonder why they had you eat only from Panera. Thank you for all the studies you participated in over the years. You never know when a clinical study might lead to a major breakthrough. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. I was involved in a clinical trial when I was transitioning from short term disability & getting full disability as I could not pay the exorbitant cost out of pocket, even with the discounts.
      At this time I no longer remember the name of the trial drug. After several infusions because no improvement had been noticed. My doc pulled me from the trial. After the study closed I was found to have been given the placebo. I had the best team possible for the study. But nothing helped when nothing was given. I would do it again if I was in the same position.
