Why do I keep dropping things?

Hi to all, I went shopping at the weekend with my daughter and i picked up a few things round Sainsburys but every few steps kept dropping my items on the floor as if my grip is going. Why would that be?

    1. Hi colourful. Many in the community understand exactly what you are going through. The hands and the ability to grip is often one of the first areas that RA presents. This article from our editorial team looks at symptoms, including the fact that "joints in the hand will be tender when squeezed or during movement and decreased grip strength may be evident:" https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/symptoms/. In addition, this article one of our contributors discusses her issues with grip and the need to bring any changes to the attention of your doctor to see if the treatment regimen should be adjusted: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/im-losing-my-grip/. Hope you find some answers soon. Best, Richard (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)

        1. Hi to all,

I went to get a small plate out of cuboard so i could make myself a sandwhich picked up the plate brought it out of cuboard and it landed on the floor in bits so i then had to hoover up the mess and get another plate out.
