Having a CT and RA

Ola,

Good Morning,

I just wanted to share with our group my experience with my CT of the Pelvic and Abdominal area last night. I've had many GI issues for many years and just need some relief.

The test itself was a breeze and no one should fear it. Painless as long as your shoulders aren't acting up and a fairly quick process. The swallow and taste of it is not even what was concerning although I do recommend you chill it as much as possible. I had feared that either the Barium or Iodine combination would cause a flare and man did it ever...probably doesn't help that rain my be coming and the pressure in the air is insane right now.

It's nearly 3 am and still am unable to get to sleep due to the pain and swelling in my bilateral knees. I have a few more hours before I have to get ready for work but may not make it if I can't even walk as sleep is just a luxury at this point.

I hope no one has to go through additional pain or testing but if you do, just know it will be ok and hopefully and at the least some answers will come. I'll come back on once my results are in. Be well.
