My Rheumatoid Arthritis

Hello, I’m new here in the community. I was diagnosed with arthritis in 2014. I’m still not used to this disease, but I’m dealing with it best I can. I am on prednisone and it helps me to get around. I also try to apply for disability, because, I’m having problems finding jobs. No companies want to hire someone with arthritis today. Well, I’m looking forward to reading your story and thank you for sharing.

Hi Jeanette and welcome! We’re so glad you found us! I am glad prednisone has been working well for you. As far as finding a job goes, I know many of our members can relate to what you shared. It can be hard to find employment when you are living with a chronic condition like RA. If you are still in the process of applying for disability, you might find this information helpful — https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/understanding-application-process-social-security-disability-benefits/.

Thank you again for sharing a part of your story with the RheumatoidArthritis.net community. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. While we cannot offer medical advice, for your safety, we are happy to help in any way we can. Have a good day and again, WELCOME!

Hi Erin. Thank you for the information about disability. I had finished an interview last week and it went well. So far, I have been working on knees and try to change my diet. Thank you again.
