Arthritis pain

I am experiencing pain affecting the back, hip and outer side of the leg. The MRI showed that the pain was caused by the compression of spinal nerve root in the lower back, often owing to degeneration of an intervertebral disk. I tried many pain killers but the pain still persists. Anyone else have this? Is cycling good for arthritis? I recently read an article on the tips to include daily exercises to prevent the disease( http://www.physionow.ca/blog/general-category/exercise-disease-prevention-tips-include-daily-exercise/ ). Will any physiotherapy treatment clinic in Mississauga like the PhysioNow help? Has anyone else had this pain? How did you manage it?

  1. Darvin,
Thank you for posting on our forums. We are so sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing in several parts of your body. A regular exercise program can significantly help manage RA and its associated symptoms. As long as you get clearance from your doctor, cycling is a great option because it is low impact and doesn’t put too much stress on your joints.
