Assistive info

I'm not sure if this would be the place to ask for this info. I already have several places I go to for assistive devices, but I need some things that can modify my tools to make them easier to use.

I'm a goldsmith and RA is tough on my hands. I'd like to be able to keep working as long as possible, because I really don't want to give up my profession. I've done what I can to modify my hand tools or buy modified tools that make my life easier. However, I need some good quality spring steel for making leaf springs, and some kind of material to wrap my handles that will have better cushioning than plasti-dip.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find small amounts of these materials?

Thanks in advance!

  1. Kathy,

I'm not sure of any resources for those types of materials. You may wish to post a general request on the discussion page of our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/RheumatoidArthritisDotNet
