Just Diagnosed (finally)

Thanks to some of the advice from this website, I finally got the strength to find a new rheumatologist. She hardly had to examine me before she knew for certain what I have been suspecting for a long time. I have rheumatoid arthritis. I put my head down and sobbed my heart out, but the validation has given me such a sense of relief. For so long I have felt in limbo and yet suffering so much pain and misery. Now I have some hope that I will have a treatment that will make me feel better. Of course, I am terrified too at what will happen to me.
Thank you for all the effort you put into this website; I couldn't do it without you.

  1. Ho Janlorraine~

So glad to hear that we were able to help! I know that rheumatoid arthritis is a life-changing diagnosis, but personally I find that knowing what I am fighting against is valuable. It helps you figure out the right treatments - it helps you keep moving forward. Please remember that everyone experiences RA differently, so the things that have happened to others on this website may not happen to you - but we are still hear to support you on your journey. Hang in there!!
