Medication. Sulphasalazine and Hydroxychloroquine

Hi all.
I’m 24 and have been diagnosed with ra for 5 years.
I’ve just started a blog about my life with RA in the hopes of helping someone. When I was first diagnosed I felt very alone and was very confused about what the future may hold.

I just posted my first blog post about my experiences with medication (Sulphasalazine and Hydroxychloroquine) and wondered if anyone shared my experiences.

  1. Hello Amy, I'm a 29yr old that was just diagnosed. My rheumatologist has started me on Prednisone and Plaquenil. Prednisone mainly because I was having a horrible flare for several months before diagnosis. I really enjoyed your blog, and reading about your experiences on both drugs. I'm really hoping the plaquenill works as I don't want to move on to the big guns(biologics) just yet. So it's very hopeful to read this actually worked for someone. Thank you for sharing your information I look forward to hearing more about it all soon!
