New diagnosis

  • By Anonymous

Went to pcp with a rash on my arms, chest, and legs. Pcp began testing for autoimmune disorder. Test came back negative for Lupus but positive for RA. My RA antibodies factor was 45 and the icc/icg was 76. C reactive protein was 13. What does all of this mean?

Thanks so much for reaching out! I know that the time of diagnosis can be scary and anxiety-producing. Here is an article that gives an overview of what these various results are testing: We do not provide medical advice (for our members’ safety), so I cannot comment on your specific results. It will be important to make an appointment with a rheumatologist and go over all of this with him/her. A rheumatologist will also be the specialist best qualified to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Again, we understand what a nerve-wracking time diagnosis can be, so please let us know if you have additional questions or have experiences or concerns you’d like to share. Wishing you all the best, Tamara (Site Moderator)
