RA and TMD
Has anyone found any relief of any sort for TMJ in conjunction with RA? I have both, have for years, but lately the TMJ is driving me crazy. I know that it’s affected by the RA, but nothing seems to be helping.

I had some trouble with TMJ a year before my diagnosis. It involved muscle weakness and inflammation at C1 and C3 vertebras. I was sent to PT for almost 6 months. I was given exercises to build up those muscles and my pain slowly faded. Now I wonder the RA caused the inflammation, Have you been to PT? TMJ is a tricky thing though. I once had medical insurance that called is a dental problem and dental insurance that called it a medical problem at the same time.
Fortunately, I don't have that insurance any more.
