Travel and RA

Whether you’re going on a trip to a faraway destination or just traveling to and from a Doctor's appointment: what is your experience when traveling with RA? What tips can you share?

  1. When we go on vacation we have to stop every two hours at least. Not only because of my wimpy bladder but also If I sit too long in the car I get really stiff.

    1. Thanks for sharing this tip MandaPanda10! Glad to have you here.

  2. I don't have any tips because I can't travel at all. Sometimes just driving to the grocery store or to a local doctor is more than I can handle. My mom and dad only live 2 hours away but I am unable to make that trip alone so I have to wait until someone can take me...which is not very often. I haven't been "home" since November 2016...and it doesn't look like I will be able to go any time soon.

So, I am looking for tips.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. swbw,
Sorry to hear that you haven't been home since 2016. We understand that travel can be challenging even when it is traveling to the doctor or grocery store. We are here to help and hope provide you with some support and tips so you can make it home soon.
I know that MandaPanda10 just provided a tip and we hope that there are others that chime in here too.
Hopefully you saw this article: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/spotlight/spotlight-travel-and-ra/ which we hope is helpful.

Thanks for reaching out and do reach out anytime.
