Treating Pain

Has anyone found an effective pain relief. I don't know how many variations of pain relief I have been prescribed but am not having any luck. It's mainly due to the side effects effecting my digestive system with stomach pains, heartburn and reflux. Mindfulness only provides sanity for so long. Alternative/complimentary treatment options welcome too. Cheers.

    1. I was told I probably go to a Pain Clinic. Has anyone had any experience with being sent to one of these places? Good/Bad??

      1. Hi, Cooter! In addition to any community feedback you may receive, I wanted to comment on your question. I know some of our members have found reputable pain clinics to be helpful when treating their chronic pain. A good pain clinic will take a multi-disciplinary approach to managing pain. That means they will use a variety of methods to help; perhaps including physical therapy, treatments involving meditation/relaxation/massage, conventional pain medications, and possibly, opioid pain medications. As it becomes more challenging to get certain prescription pain medications, some people have found going to a pain clinic enables them to get the stronger pain medications they need to function. I hope you get some more feedback and I just recommend that you research local clinics and see if anyone you know can recommend a good clinic near you. Thank you for reaching out and best of luck!
