Tamara Haag

Diagnosed with RA in 2000 at the age of 22 (following years of precursors, symptoms and misdiagnoses), Tamara has been balancing the demands of family, work, and school with disease management. When she can carve out the time, she enjoys reading, yoga, amateur photography and writing.

Tamara has long enjoyed working with people with disabilities. For years she volunteered at various summer camps for children with special needs, including several summers at Camp Funrise, a camp for kids with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Tamara also worked at the University of Georgia’s Disability Resource Center, where she coordinated accommodations for college students with disabilities. She currently works as a behavior specialist in the public school system.
