All tests not consistent with RA

Hello,
48 yo male. 6ft 4, 250. Army guy

Hx of ulcerative colitis, papillary thyroid carcinoma x20 years ago.
Cholecystectomy x22 years, l5 surgery. ADR in t4.

18 months ago I was at my son's bday party and playing airsoft. I may have overdone it that day avx that night my knee was sore. By that evening new knee was swollen. Ice avx rest x3 days with no improvement.
Went to DO. And was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. That day they drain 76cc of fluid from my knee.

1 week later my other one was swollen. 68 cc of fluid out of that. Mri on both knees.. nothing

Then I get a small, disc shaped lesion on my penis. Not painful. Go to my MD. Tells me I have hpv. ....

I knew that was bs and just a hail Mary diagnosis.

Get std testing and all is well.

Then MD tests with cbc, sed rate(2) cprotein(neg), hla b27(neg), quint.(neg), and many others. Everything neg

They put me on humira with little effect.... I'm totally confused and have a hard time walking , can't work out.... I'm so depressed

Everything is normal except

  1. Hey, !

I don't blame you for feeling depressed! It sounds like your health has been turned upside down since that day of your son's party.

I'm glad your test results have been good, but I know that must be another cause of frustration, as you can't treat something you can't identify. Are you able to seek a second (or third) opinion? And, I am curious as to why your doctors prescribed Humira if your test results have been pretty clean.

Obviously, though, your body has experienced some pretty serious trauma in the past, what with all surgeries you have had and your history of digestive issues and cancer. So, it may be hard to pin down what's causing your current problems. Autoimmune conditions are a good starting place, but I hope your doctors are open to other possible diagnoses and I hope they don't give up on trying to get to the bottom of what's going on.

You deserve a diagnosis and proper treatment!
