Hi . First, let me echo about RA being particularly individualistic and responding differently to treatments. I do want to note that there is hope in research that examines biomarkers and individual cellular composition in RA patients to discover particular RA drivers for the individual and enable a higher level of precision medicine. Efforts are being made to develop tests that will tell a doctor what medication is most likely to effectively treat the individual patient. This very recent article (sorry, only the abstract is available in a free format) looks at advances in RA precision medicine. Some of this is a ways from actual patient use, but I wanted to let you know that it is happening and that the hope is real. Best, Richard (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)
