Does anyone else have breast pain?

I have been having a lot of pain in my breast. It radiates down from the armpit to the nipple. Only on the one side. My general p.a. said she thought it was inflammation from the RA. I don't know if I agree with her. This is pain in the tissue, not joints involved. Thoughts???

  1. Hi tanyae. RA can affect connective tissues, as well as bones and joints. This article from one of our contributors goes into more detail: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/attack-on-connective-tissues/. Of course, this does not mean that your pain is being caused by RA. Have you had a chance to mention the problem to your rheumatologist? Remember, you are always entitled to a second opinion. Hope you find some relief soon. Best, Richard (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)

    1. I think you should have your gynecologist check it out, and perhaps a mammogram just to be on the safe side. We get so caught up in the RA, that we forget the rest of our body needs care as well.
