Covid Bivalent Booster and Flu Shot combo - anybody else get a flare?

Just wanted to check in with my fellow RA warriors and ask - I had my Covid bivalent booster and yearly flu shot about a week and a half ago, and since then, I've been REALLY dragging, my back has been aching more, my knees have been yelling at me a little, and I've just felt kind of 'under the weather.' My RA pain is pretty well managed, and my RA fatigue can just appear out of nowhere (whee!!!), so for this to be going on how since my vaccines, it's just made me wonder if they are the culprits that sent me into a bit of a flare. Anybody else? I see my rheumy in a couple of weeks, so I'll talk to her then, but it never hurts to ask! Gentle hugs to all...

  1. I didn't get a flare myself due to shots, but I have heard of others who did flare after the vaccines. I think it really depends on your specific type of RA and whether or not your body reacts to the shot. I, myself, literally felt nothing after all the vaccines, so much so my doc had to test to make sure I had the antibodies. Let us know how it feel after a few days! In the meantime, we are here to help however we can. Keep on keepin' on, DPM
