  1. Hi there - one of RA community advocates wrote about their experience with headaches. Specifically they said that they noticed that the severity of their RA symptoms was connected to the intensity of pain felt with headaches. You can read more here if you're interested that can provide one additional perspective (https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/pounding-headache). I'm sorry you're having these headaches. I'll wait for others to weigh-in but wanted to provide the link above. Warmly - Reggie, RheumatoidArthritis.net team member

    1. HI, ! I do hope more community members and hope onto this thread, as I know headaches and RA are not uncommon! This topic does come up from time to time within the community. In addition to the article Reggie shared, I wanted to share another one on this topic -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/what-a-headache. You're definitely not the only one experiencing this!

      1. Hi . So sorry you are having this issue with migraines. Your definitely are not alone with this in the RA community. On top of the excellent information from and , I want to share with you this article on recent research that found that "There’s an apparent bidirectional relationship between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and migraine:" https://www.healthline.com/health-news/study-finds-connection-between-migraine-rheumatoid-arthritis. What this means is "that people with migraine are more likely to develop this type of arthritis. And, on the flip side, people with RA are also more likely to develop migraine." I also want to share with you this link to our sister-site for migraine at: https://migraine.com/. There you can find the same level of information and support for that condition as you find here for RA. Hoping this information is helpful and that you can begin to get answers and relief for your issue. Best, Richard (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)

        1. Thank you all for your posts! I thought that I was crazy, but I noticed a correlation between my RA flares and my migraine incidents. Although, I guess that it makes sense with the inflammation increase probably triggering both. Does anyone have any home remedies that can help, besides biologics & over the counter meds?

          1. , you're definitely not crazy or alone in this! Jo offered some good suggestions as to finding (and avoiding) your triggers. Home remedies can only go so far and we always suggest running any treatment plans (natural or not) by your physician, just to be safe. Some people find cold compresses help, dark rooms, guided meditation apps, etc. Others find heat helps with migraines. It's really a bit of trial and error as to what works for each person. Also, here's some suggestions from our sister site dedicated to Migraines -- https://migraine.com/migraine-treatment/natural-remedies. I hope this helps!
