How can I afford my medication?

I have been struggling with RA for about two years now. I have tried Plaquenil (which I still take), methotrexate pills and injections (which I saw no improvement with), and now am awaiting approval for Humira. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and I would like to know if anyone is taking Humira and paying a reasonable price because I know it is very expensive without insurance. Thanks!

  1. I know biologics can be mad expensive. You should check out the Humira copay assistance page and go from there. The URL is https://www.humira.com/humira-complete/cost-and-copay Keep on keepin’ on, DPM

    1. Hi silukmonika. Concerns over the price of medications is completely understandable. On top of the excellent information from Daniel about the copayment assistance programs from the manufacturers, thought you might be interested in this article from one of our contributors on ways to help with affording RA medications (including the copayment assistance): https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/finding-help-to-afford-your-ra-medications/.
