when i was young i had leg arthritis which ended causing devastating consequences that if a simple motor on a stationary bike was available would have been treated

I am not concerned about ownership
I just dont want more suffering to continue needlessly

  1. It is interesting what you are trying to do here. I get the premise. For me, I go to physical therapy twice a week and they help me to do basically what you are looking for here. A thought I had is that they make an app arts to make a real bike into a stationary bike, basically a treadmill for bikes. What if you put a cheap electric bike onto one of those? It would work at least for legs. Just a thought, anyway. Let us know if you are able to get it all put together! Keep on keepin on, DPM

doing this alone is very mentally burdening, i hope there can be a group to get this made

    1. Hi . I don't know if you are familiar with Continuous Passive Motion machines, but they are sometimes used after orthopedic surgery to get the leg moving without high levels of resistance. You may want to take a look at some of the designs (you can find various articles and pictures with a search on "continuous passive motion machine" ). Best, Richard (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)
