Psi pressure effects on arthritis

I have serious pain and movement, no grip strength. If I go diving, yes scuba and go to 220 feet, there is no pain, no grip issues everything back to normal. Any studies on psi pressure with arthritis?

  1. Hi . Funny you should ask. I was just recently answering another question on air pressure and came across this article about the inverse association between air pressure and RA synovitis: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3893195/. So yes, it does make sense that you might feel better at the increased pressure of diving. An interesting question that is not addressed is just how much change in pressure is necessary for a person to notice a difference, although this may vary by individual. I also wonder if some sort of treatment could be possible using a barometric chamber or would the body simply revert once leaving the chamber. All interesting questions.
