Hi, !
I am sorry you have been dealing with flares for a good chunk of this year. I know that can be really frustrating, to say the least.
It can be a challenge to pinpoint what can trigger a flare. Stress can definitely do it. And, yes, so can diet, to a point. And, of course, sometimes RA seems to flare up for no reason at all. If you suspect diet may be a culprit, you can cut out those foods and see if you notice any improvement. Also, I wanted to share what one of our contributors calls her flare plan -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/flare-action-plan. There are some good member comments following the piece on how they manage their flares, so you can check those out, too. And another contributor wrote about her tips for dealing with a flare -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/finding-balance-during-a-flare. I do hope that your flares begin to ease and you go into 2025 flare free (and stay that way)!
Hang in there and please keep us posted on how you are doing, if you feel comfortable doing so.
Best, Erin, Team Member.
