rash

Anyone present with a rash on the trunk of body?

  1. Could this be shingles? Or Lupus?

    1. It is not shingles for sure. Not sure about lupus. I see rheumatologist next week.

    2. Hi Drea, I had a months’ long outbreak of eczema on trunk and extremities. It started at ankles, then knees, elbows, wrists and went from there. Dermatologist diagnosed it and it resolved with Aristacort (steroidal cream). I had never had eczema before and have not had it since. Wishing you the best, Ann-Marie

  2. Have you seen a dermatologist?

    1. Not yet, have appt in next couple weeks.

      1. , I hope that appointment is fruitful and you get some clear answers (and treatment)! And I hope the next couple weeks fly by quickly for you! Best, Erin, RheumatoidArthritis.net Team Member.

    2. A red rash is not uncommon in RA - the nerve endings in the skin. can get inflamed and the skin can look like it has red pin pricks or little bumps. I get that on my face off and on - it's called rosacea. It fades after a while but comes back for me every few days. It usually comes before a flare.
