Does anyone take Simponi Aria infusions?

I had 2 simponi aria infusions. See no changes. Too soon?

  1. I was on Simponi Aria (infusions) for four years. It took about six weeks to notice changes but it definitely helped me. I am about to start Orencia infusions and I am hoping it will work as well as the Simponi did. I hate changing biologic's, so scary, but it's something we RA'ers must do. Wishing you the best.

    1. Glad to hear it helped Kerry. I go from my third next month. Get one every two months. So far no change, very frustrating. But maybe too soon. Hope your new medication works out for you!

  2. Hello , I did the Simponi Aria infusions for several months, with mixed results. I would say that I felt maximum results at around 4 infusions. Sometimes it can be hard for me to get accurate result because I have both RA and PsA, but it really worked for my back, shoulder, and elbow pains (which is where the majority of my RA is.) Best of luck with it a be sure to come back and let us know how you are doing! 😀 -Leanne, Community Moderator

    1. Thanks Leanne. That’s encouraging for me to know I must be patient! I hope it works and will keep you posted. Hope you are doing well.

  3. I have been on Simponi Aria for several years. I was on Simponi self injections before that, but these infusions were much better. I was in remission about a year ago, but recently seem to be slipping again. I also went on a ketogenic diet, and I felt wonderful. My diet has slipped too, so I’m not sure if it is diet or infusions causing my flairs. I get infusions every 8 weeks. Give it time, you may slowly realize things don’t hurt like they used to...Good luck

    1. I just had my second infusion with Simponi today. Thankfully for me I felt better and was able to move more freely about 2 weeks after my first infusion. I was diagnosed in October 2023 and was first put on sulfasalazine which did nothing after 4 weeks. I don’t know what’s ahead but grateful for Simponi Aria today

      1. , I am so glad your second infusion went well and that you're feeling pretty good right now!
