Social security disability

My spouse with RA is trying to get SSDI. She has a robust 40 year work history, and is only applying because she keeps having to take off work due to debilitating flare ups. She is 55. What are her chances of success in receiving benefits? Thank you.

  1. I am on SSDI myself and I had to end up retaining an attorney. It is true that from my own personal experience they will deny you at first, just make sure you keep going back at them (whether you have a lawyer or not). If you do decide to retain counsel there are firms who will just take a % of your first lump sum payment as the fee, so it's not out of pocket. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help. Keep on keepin' on, DPM
