Timing medication

I always bring a list of questions to my rheumatologist, and he always answers them in depth for me. However, I always seem to miss one or two and don’t want to bother him
Beside my weekly Enbrel injection, I’m on a daily protocol of plaquinel , and 10 mg of prednisone.
Is it better to take 5mg with the plaquinel , then the additional 5mg later? Or take all 10 mg at once?
Thanks

  1. Honestly, it's going to come down to trial and error. Every RA body is different and some people like one way and some another. For me, personally, I like to wakeup at like 6am, go to the bathroom, and take 1/2 of my meds for the day. Then I go back to sleep for a few hours so that when I wake up the pills are already taking effect. Then, at evening time or before I go to bed I take the other half of my meds to basically cover me through the night so I have a better chance of not being woken up with pain or discomfort. It works for me but it did take years to figure it out, plus I have to change it up sometimes if I'm having a really bad day. Let us know how it goes and remember, you are not alone! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. I’m going to do this starting tomorrow!
