Take the Chronic Dry Eye In America Survey!

*Update: As of Wednesday, April 28, 2021, the Chronic Dry Eye In America survey is now closed and will not be reopened.

It is estimated that more than 16 million Americans have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye. The disease can make it harder to do everyday tasks, like driving or working in front of a computer. Complications of chronic dry eye can include blurred vision, light sensitivity, an inability to wear contact lenses, and chronic pain.1

Occasional dryness of the eye is not the same thing as chronic dry eye, which is a recurring, progressive disease that can worsen over time.

Chronic dry eye and RA: What is the connection?

Eye involvement in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is relatively common. In a study of 691 people with RA, 27 percent had some sort of inflammatory eye involvement. Many of the common eye conditions that occur in people with RA result from inflammation in the eye, with symptoms like pain, dry eye, and sensitivity to light. These are also common symptoms of chronic dry eye.2

To better understand how the RA community is affected by chronic dry eye, we are conducting our Chronic Dry Eye In America survey. By taking our survey, you can bring awareness to the realities of life with chronic dry eye. If you have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye or know someone who has, please consider taking or sharing our survey!

How do we use survey data?

Survey responses help us better understand the real-life, everyday experiences of people living with chronic dry eye. All survey responses are kept confidential and reported only in total (your specific responses will not be reported individually), and will become property of Health Union, LLC.
