"I've been on shots and meds for few years , not good remembering names of medicine, but I had trouble with insurance and haven't been able to get it,is there anyway I could be going threw withdrawals?
Or back to just not having the meds, getting sorted but nobody understands how much I struggle trying to work and feeling as awful as I have? "

  1. That sounds really tough. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all that. Not being able to get your meds because of insurance issues is such a tough place to be, especially when managing something as challenging as RA. Missing your RA meds usually doesn’t cause withdrawal, but stopping them suddenly can definitely make your symptoms flare up or feel way worse. So what you’re feeling is likely your body reacting to not having the treatment it needs, rather than true withdrawal. How are you managing the pain and symptoms right now while you’re waiting to get your meds sorted? I hope things turn around for you soon! -Latoya (Team Member)

  2. Hi . One option may be to ask your doctor if they have any samples until you get things straightened out with insurance. It's a longshot, but can't hurt to try. Also, don't let up on pushing both the insurance and doctor's office to get things resolved - you pay for the insurance, you are entitled to the coverage. Hoping you can get some relief soon. 3. thanks, I really not using anything. Tylenol ,B6🤷 We have gotten things somewhat fixed. I have appointment this Thursday , but I've broke bones wrecks , stitches and staples! But none comparing to flare up, I'm soo drained and have to work to pay the bill, I'm physically & mentally at my end.. praying everything goes well 🙏 thanks again

  4. Just want to double down on what said. I have ran out of shots of my RA medicine before and since my immune system was tamped down for so long it comes roaring back twice as hard. The body thinks it has to push against the immunosuppressants and since there are none you get the full force of your immune system right in the proverbial face. I know the pain of also not being able to get your meds and I totally empathize - I am going through something similar myself right now with my pain stuff. They make it impossible for us complicated patients to exist sometimes. I was even told "no one gets RA as bad as you any more, really, so no one is treating pain for it any more." Well, great, I guess those of us who are still alive who missed the boat on the biologics when our diseases started will just go jump in a lake. Ha ha. You are not alone. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

  5. I can only imagine how draining that must be, especially while still having to push through work. I’m really hoping your appointment brought some answers or at least a little relief. By the way, how did it go? All the best, Latoya (Team Member)
