"I was diagnosed with RA a few years ago. I live in Michigan and enjoy the changing of the seasons. At least I did till today. I turned 65 this year and am having a very tough time with joint pain. I use Mobic 15 mg and topical Voltaren. I refuse pain meds as they mess with my mind too much. Any suggestions to ease the pain would be welcomed."

  1. I’m really sorry you’re having a hard time managing joint pain. The seasonal changes can definitely make joint pain flare up, especially with RA. Gentle stretching, warm baths, and using heat pads during colder days might help a bit. Here's an article that shares more information on way to cope with the pain- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/symptoms/joints-swelling-tightness-or-stiffness. Overall, listening to your body and pacing yourself is key. I hope the article helps and you find some relief soon! All the best, Latoya (Team Member)

  2. Hi . On top of the excellent information from Latoya, I just want to let you know that you definitely are not alone. I thought you might relate to this article from my friend on the seasonal changes, the flares that come with them, and dealing with them: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/seasonal-changes-flares. Hoping you are feeling better soon. Best, Richard (Team Member)
