MRI of the Cervical Spine
You guys know that I have RA and lupus. Have been on methotrexate, prednisone, gabapentin and a Rituxan drip.
Cervical spine MRI and relief!
Now for the good part. I became lightheaded and dizzy. My Dr. ordered a MRI of my cervical spine. It came back positive, meaning that the bones were fused together. She gave me an injection into my cervical spine. I believe the medication was lidocaine and an anti-inflammatory. The relief was amazing. I also had an injection into my SI joint. Now in addition to a rheumy I see a pain and spine doctor. They believe that a lot of the pain we have comes from pressure on the nerves - inflammation from arthritis, etc.
