Can You Believe It, Eye Infection?
In my early 20's I suffered from an eye infection, that wouldn't clear up. The doctors tried different medications to no avail.
Is it really RA?
My sister recommended that I see a new doctor at the clinic and I did. He look at my eyes and asked me if my hands hurt. Yes, they hurt.
Right there on the spot, he said, "I think you suffer from a rheumatoid disease. He took some x-rays and blood work and confirmed I had rheumatoid arthritis. He prescribed a steroid eye gel and the infection cleared up almost immediately.
The young doctor became a good friend of my family. I am forever grateful to Dr. Montelongo. This was over 40 years ago.
