I never give up

In 2014, it started with pain in my feet and 2 weeks later I just couldn’t walk. 40 years old, I was destroyed. I tried different doctors and in 2017 I started using HUMIRA. My life changed but I’m still in real pain. The only good thing is that I can work with pain but working make me feel i a life.

Hi Morelos. A positive view of never giving up can certainly help in managing RA. Glad to hear that your treatment has made things somewhat better. Everyone’s RA is different and, thus, what constitutes control is different. However, if you feel you could still do better don’t be afraid to tell your rheumatologist and ask if there are further adjustments that may help. In this article one of our contributors writes about a doctor who changed his treatment because she wouldn’t let him settle for still having potentially damaging flares: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/the-good-doctor/.
