My Long-Term RA Journey

I have had rheumatoid arthritis (RA) for most of my adult life, and I am now 75. I have undergone many different infusions, including Enbrel, Humira, and Rituxan, which helped until they didn't. My left hand fingers are not usable, but my right hand is okay for now.

Impact on my social life

RA has ruined my social life, as I can't put any weight on my right knee and have to use a walker. Despite these challenges, I still do what I can and plan on moving into my own apartment. Since my husband passed away, I have been living with my daughter; he was my rock.

This or That

Do you live alone or with others?

Recent health developments

I recently found out that my arteries have plaque, which led to my knee surgery being canceled. I am now on a statin and will have a nuclear stress test at the end of October, followed by an echocardiogram on November 4th. I hope to find out all the answers soon.

Looking ahead

Until then, my life is okay. Life goes on—the sun is still shining, and fall weather is approaching.
