I went to bed on a Saturday and woke up Sunday morning and couldn't get out of bed and couldn't walk. Knees and ankles swollen and pain was beyond belief. Was on predizone for months. Was sitting on my recliner for almost 2 months. I was barely walking and living on pain meds. Got a good RA dr and finally after almost 2 yrs I am better. On Methotrexate and gabapentin. Have other problems besides RA so it's always pain somewhere. Being on massive doses of predizone gave me more issues. Thank God for my dr but it's a constant fight everyday.

I know the feeling and sympathize with you. I have awoke and somehow had rolled over in my sleep and slept on my back.I have OA and RA along with other problems down my vertibre so my husband had to physically roll me over and help me out of bed.I take methotrexate injections gabapentin and Cemzia injections along with a few other meds. The Cemzia seems to be working and now I'm back to feeling more like me than I have in years. I still have pain but my flare ups are less often..

I thought this might help you My wife had Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was getting backpain once in a year during winter and after taking tablets for 1-2months it use to go away. But last year it was worse. She had constant body pain though she was under medication. When dr changes tablet she use to feel better for 1-2 days and pain was back. Dr then tries steroid tablets. My wife started accumulation fat. But it didn't help at all. We tried Arvada. It increased her gastric and she started getting nausea. We were terrified without knowing what to do. Then i found a book on naturopathy from Jindal hospital. I thought I would give a try. It really helped her. Since a year she doesn't have any symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis. This is what we did that helped us. I hope it might help someone having trouble with Rheumatoid Arthritis. a) Daily drink fruit juice without adding sugar or sth extra.I use to make pomegranate,apple, orange, pineapple, watermelon, muskmelon etc. I used slowjiucer to get juice out of fruits. Drink it twice morning and evening. b) Take 2 thick cotton towels (turkey towel). Dip one in hot water 40-50 degree celsius. dip another in cold water. Squeeze it to dry. Now you have hot towel. Put that on your back. Let it stay for 2 min. Now take the cold towel. Squeeze it to dry. Put that on your back. leave it for 30 sec. repeat it 4 times before your bed. End this by applying another hot towel for 1 min. c) Then take some massage oil and massage back for 3-4min. Try it for 3 weeks. I bet you will see improvements. English medicines will have side effects. This is all natural and you will naturally. I think fresh fruit juices will have lot of antioxidants and help your body to heal. Hot/cold packs will help you to recover too. I didn't try which one of this actually helped her. I know its one of it OR could be both. I didn't want to experiment. But it really helps.
