Cimza

I've been on this medicine for some time now and my condition has not gotten better. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

  1. Hello, , I'm so glad you reached out. You mention being on Cimza for some time, so I'm not sure if this is relevant or not, but sometimes RA treatments can take as little as 1-2 weeks to notice some relief but up to as many as 12 weeks. (I know, 12 weeks feels like forever when living with RA pain!) That being said, it certainly doesn't hurt to reach out to your doctor and ask about the length of time you should stick with the Cimza before deciding it is not the right medication for you, and what they recommend moving forward. Hopefully some of our community members with person experience with Cimza can also share with you here. I do hope that you can get some helpful information and some relief soon! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    1. This is the third medication so I'll see the Dr tomorrow. So I can ask now what?

      1. Knowing what your options are is the best thing you can ask, so I would say yes for sure ask that. Be open to hear what they have to say, and work with them to decide on a plan that you feel most comfortable with. I hope your appointment goes well and please feel free to reach back out. We are always here for you and others in the community. -Effie, team member

      2. , I'm not sure if you've already seen the doctor today or not, but you can absolutely ask them, "now what"? Unfortunately (as it seems you're finding out), it can take quite a few different treatments before finding one that brings relief. I wish that it was happening more quickly for you, but I'm hopeful that you will find a treatment that works for you soon! Please, if you're comfortable, let us know how it went at the doctor today! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
