Is cracking your knuckles detrimental in RA?

I was just diagnosed with RA not even a week ago and I can’t find the answer to this question anywhere. I have a bad habit of cracking my knuckles and joints 20+ times a day. Is it something that’s going to cause an increase in my symptoms in the long term or is it something I shouldn’t worry too much about?

  1. Hi ! First, welcome to our community! Glad you found us here. Do let us know if there is anything we can assist you with as you browse around our site and get acquainted. Great question! Truthfully I haven't found an answer around this myself. Have you had a chance to ask your doctor(s) about this to see if they know more? Maybe someone in the community has some answers as well and can give some insight... Sorry I can't be of more help here! Wishing you well today, Alesandra (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)

    1. Hi Thank you for your welcome!!! I am greatly thankful for searching and finding this site. My husband just recently was diagnosed w/ RA. He's been maintaining strong, @ least in front of me, but who better than I to know him.
I am trying to search and find ways to help as best as I can and give as much support as I can. We are most interested in finding organic / natural ways to help and alleviate his chronic pain.

Once, thank you for your kindness
