Hi, ! I think Lori and shared some great suggestions! I'm pretty fond of wheeled garden seats and there is quite a large variety of options that accommodate a variety of needs and budgets. I am providing an Amazon link, because that's the easiest, but I am not necessarily recommending Amazon or any specific cart -- https://www.amazon.com/garden-cart-seat-wheels/s?k=garden+cart+with+seat+and+wheels.
As far as hurting hands, well, that can be a bit more challenging. Garden work tends to rely on lots of "hands on" effort, so avoiding hand pain might be difficult. Have you tried ergonomic tools for the garden? I have a couple that I really like and I found this article that might be helpful -- https://www.bobvila.com/slideshow/10-ergonomic-tools-that-make-gardening-nearly-painless-45767.
Sometimes, the best I can do is plan for a hot shower and a nice, cool drink (and maybe some ibuprofen 😉 ) after a long day of working in the garden.
I hope other members chime in with some helpful suggestions! And happy gardening!
