Scott, sorry Humira isn't helping you. Simponi is an anti-TNF biologic in the same class as Humira. They both act by impacting the same part of the biologic pathway. Simponi is self-injected like Humira, not infused. Many doctors will try a second anti-TNF as everyone responds differently. Actemra acts on a different chemical, interleukin 6 (IL-6), in the biologic pathways involved in RA. Actemra can be self-injected or infused. Everyone responds differently to medicines so personal stories are impossible to generalize to others. Decisions about treatment are best made between a patient and the prescribing doctor. I hope you find a treatment plan that works for you. You can read more at https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/treatment/biologics-treatment-options-for-ra/
