Is it RA

So I wake up a couple times each night to move my fingers. They are only stiff for a minute or two then I’m good again. I have mild aches in other joints but nothing earth shattering. Just annoying. I also have began popping in about every joint. I have seen two rheumatologist and neither do anything but give me anti inflammatory drugs. They don’t seem to help. I have no swelling. This has been continuous now for 6 months. Any thoughts or ideas??

Only blood work that ever shows anything is a mildly positive crp. Like 1.5.

  1. Unfortunately we will not be able to help out. Our rules prevent is form acting as doctors. Which makes sense because none of us are medical doctors. What I can say is that usually a trained rheumatologist is the very best answer the question.

I wish you the very best. Please let us know how it works out.

    1. Hi @lori7878,
I'm sorry that you have been going through this lately. It sounds like you have consulted with rheumatologist/specialists who should be able to help you. Besides offering you anti-inflammatory medications, have they pursued further testing to determine a definite diagnosis? Sometimes it can take awhile to find a diagnosis particularly when laboratory results are not definitive. It is possible to have something like RA without elevated results for rhematoid factor. If you are not satisfied with your current physicians, you have the right to seek another opinion. If you have a good relationship with your doctor, you can ask more questions and push for clarification and more concrete answers.

I hope that you find some relief soon.

      Best wishes,
