The thing about rheumatoid arthritis and chronic illness is that it's one of the only types of illnesses where the medicines that are made only give partial relief if they work at all, which they may not. It's also one of the only types of illnesses where there is no test to see which medicine might work best for you, and that's why still the best way doctors have to see which meds might work is simply trial and error.
