Muscle aches

I've had RA for 18 years with long periods of remission. This last year it's returned with a vengeance but I'm also experiencing severe muscle aches and fatigue to the point of immobility. I'm told by my consultants it's a secondary condition of the RA but I've never had this before. Does anyone else have these symptoms and is it RA or something else.

  1. Hello. I am so sorry you are experiencing this. It must be terrible.

I have not experienced what you describe, at least to the extent that it impacts you. I have reduced muscle strength and stamina. But I looked up how RA is associated with muscle issues and found an excellent article about muscle pain with RA. Here is the link.

Since it does not answer your question, I looked through some past posts to see what has been reported. I saw several posts about muscle pain, but one seemed to stand out. Here is the link:

    1. Thank you so much for forwarding these to me and for taking the trouble on my behalf, both really helpful articles.Wishing you a peaceful evening.

      1. Yes! My muscle pain has become debilitating. They have thrown a Fibro diagnosis at me. I found the overall muscle pain far worse than the joint pain.
