Any ideas around my blood work results?

Anyone? All blood work is normal except CRP, it was 16. But for five weeks, I have had joint pain. It moves around constantly from my hands to my feet, to my ankles, knees, and wrists. Also when I wake up, my fingers are stiff but only for a min. Not long and everything for RA says over an hour? Any ideas?

  1. Hi ! Thanks for your question. While we can't give medical advice over the internet here (for your safety!) I did want to reply with some more information that may help give some insight. If you have a chance to discuss with your doctor, perhaps consider mentioning seronegative RA to them. This is when RA doesn't show up on blood tests, but very much exists: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/seronegative-ra-blood-tests-dont-tell-entire-story/ If you are experiencing joint pain and feel your may have RA (after all, you know your body best!) I encourage you to have a deeper conversation with your healthcare team. Please do keep us posted if you'd like! Warmly, Alesandra (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)

    1. Hi lori7878. Sorry you are having these joint pains. Have you seen a rheumatologist? On top of the excellent information from Alesandra, I want to share with you this article on other types of arthritis, some of which are also related inflammatory autoimmune conditions which can cause similar symptoms: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/types-of-arthritis/. In addition there are conditions such as fibromyalgia which can also cause similar symptoms. Of course, only a doctor can provide proper diagnostics and a rheumatologist is a specialist in these type of conditions. Hoping you get some answers soon. Best, Richard (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team)
