Palindromic rheumatism

I would like to hear if anyone has been diagnosed with this and what their experiences are.
This appears to fit my 30 year history and symptoms, if roving, transitory symptoms and significantly periods of remission.even though rheumatologist dismissed it and said I had rheumatoid arthritis, I'm not convinced. Apparently with palindromic rheumatism the anti ccp, ANA and IL6 can be very high, similar to rheumatoid. Since double carpal tunnel surgery, have had unremitting severe inflammation, pain and flare. Prednisone has helped, but it recurred after 1 month off the prednisone.Hoping this next Prednisone treatment will push it back into remission. I would like to hear others experiences
Thank you
Maura

  1. Hi, !

We have had a few community members share their experiences with palindromic rheumatism and I will share some links to their stories -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/stories/terror and -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/stories/family-thought-nuts and -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/forums/ra-plus-retina-and-gi-issues. It's definitely a rarer issue, but we do have a few people that have personal experience with it and I hope their stories help you! Hopefully, they will see your comment and join in the conversation here, too.
