Pulmonary Fibrosis

I have been dealing with RA for over ten years. I was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis due to RA. Just wondering how common this is.

  1. I have a bit of it myself after thirty plus years of RA and I know many others with RA who suffer some sort of lung involvement, not to mention all the other co-morbidities that come along with decades of chronic illness. My Rheumatologist just said to watch it for now, and keep an eye on things. Let us know if there’s anything we can do to help, and remember - you are not alone! Keep on keepin’ on, DPM

    1. Hi , I just wanted to echo Daniel, and let you know that you definitely aren't alone in experiencing Pulmonary fibrosis (or other lung complications) from RA. I'm linking an article here with more information about RA and lung diseases, https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/medical-conditions-occurring-along-with-ra/lung-diseases. We've also had a couple of community members mention Pulmonary fibrosis that I'll share with you here as well, https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/stories/a-trifecta-of-chronic-disease, https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/forums/pulmaney-fibrosis. I hope, in addition to the links I shared, some of our community members here can comment and share with you as well. Wishing you a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
