RA and Jaw Joints
Just wondering how common is it to experience jaw pain with RA. Have had severe facial problems, of course neurologist says it's migeaines. I said that's just an affect od what the problem is. This has been a year. Past week its been very painful to move my jaw with a lot of cracking to go with it. Im not that old. Well maybe to ax21 yr old lol. Gotta still have humor. Im 57 though. Just don't want to contribute everything to RA if that makes sense. Maybe that's still a bit of denial after 10 years of it.
Thoughts?
I've recently been reading about jaw joint problems and RA. Have you spoken with your dentist about this? I think they could help evaluate your jaw pain and perhaps help you. Maybe an oral appliance? It may also be a sign of poor RA control and worth a conversation with your Rheum. I Hope you find answers and comfort soon, Jo (Moderator)
