About RA and it's symptoms

I diagnosed as RA two times 4-5 year back with pain in multiple joint and fatigue and still have pain nearly all joint and body but RA test is negative multiple times and all doctor says you are OK but pain and fatigue persist. What to do now no one listen my problem

  1. Any suggestions

    1. Hi . Your frustration is certainly understandable. Are you seeing a rheumatologist? I ask because they have years of additional training in diseases of the musculoskeletal system and autoimmune conditions. A rheumatologist should know that, as noted in this article, about 30% of cases are seronegative, meaning that they test negative for rheumatoid factor: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/seronegative-ra-blood-tests-dont-tell-entire-story. The diagnostic process is significantly more than this test. This article discusses the diagnostic process: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/diagnosis. You deserve to be heard and are always entitled to a second opinion. Even if your symptoms turn out to be caused by something other than RA, you deserve answers and treatment. Wishing you the best and please feel free to keep us posted on how you are doing and to ask further questions. Richard (Team Member)

      1. Ugh – I’m sorry you're dealing with this. Richard provided some really helpful links. Just know that you're not alone in this. Many people struggle with the same disconnect between symptoms and test results. What I will add is that you have every right to seek a second (or even third) opinion whenever you feel like your concerns aren’t being heard or taken seriously. You know your body best, and if something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to keep advocating for yourself. Sometimes it takes the right doctor to connect the dots. Don’t give up, things will get better! All the best, Latoya (Team Member)
