Is anyone on methotrexate and bilogic injection

Hi . On top of the excellent information from Latoya, I want to share that my wife, Kelly Mack (a contributor here), was, like you, on methotrexate for many years. She was diagnosed with a severe case at age two, 47 years. Her rheumatologist eventually switched her to a biologic. In her case, he started her on a biologic alone, with the option to add back methotrexate depending on the response. He did this to try to limit the impact on her immune system due to a lifetime of RA and treatment. That said, there are plenty of people who successfully use both. Hi I’m also a methotrexate for almost 2 years and it has not been working and I’m still on prednisone. I switched rheumatologist and he’s going start me on Orencia. He thinks I’ll get some relief from that. I’m going to start with infusions good luck. I hope it works for you too.
