swollen lymph nodes

Hi, I have swollen lymph node by ear and having temporal pain. So odd. I have been having deja vu and wanted to know the meaning. I thought it meant I was on the right track. Geez they mentioned temporal problem as a possiblitlity. Does anyone have swollen lymph node in neck area?

  1. After having rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years now I can tell you that I certainly have experienced this. In fact, when I take my daily injection of my biologic, I can tell if I forgot or waited too long to take it the next day because my nodes start to ache. I'm sure it has something to do with the immune system turning back on or whatever, but that's just my own theory. The point is, yes, it is something I have experienced before and is part of my rheumatoid arthritis journey! You are not alone. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. I've experienced that right behind the ear, but it's also a little lower right where the jaw connects. I actually noticed this more after I got sick in December (before and after). The immunologist I see said the glands were inflamed. I also have underlying root causes at play, chronic EBV etc. So it can be a lot of things. This is quite common to happen i.e. swollen lymph nodes with RA. But the best thing you can do is tell your doctors, which it seems like you already have and keep an eye on them. -Effie, team member
