I have has an RA diagnosis since 2008. Lately, well for about 2 years now I have been plagued with urticaria and angioedema.
Is anyone else suffering from this?

I am so sorry you are dealing with these issues, 1qv79fi! I will say that hives (urticaria) is a fairly common complaint among our community members. One of our contributors discusses his skin conditions related to RA here -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/skin-issues-associated-ra/. While I haven't heard much from our members about angioedema, that doesn't mean they may not be experiencing it; they just might not have the medical term for it yet! The Mayo clinic does discuss urticaria and angioedema together, which makes me wonder if they don't often occur together -- http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hives-and-angioedema/symptoms-causes/dxc-20257141. I know it must be frustrating to deal with these conditions for such a long time. I assume you have discussed this with your physician? I also assume that the list of common treatment options is familiar to you, but I will share it here, just to be safe -- http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hives-and-angioedema/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20354914. Also, certain medications used to treat RA symptoms can cause urticaria, including Cimzia, Enbrel, and Rituxan. I do hope you get some relief and also some feedback from other community members! Thank you for reaching out and please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Best, Erin, RheumatoidArthritis.net Team Member.
